The goal of our premarital counseling is to make sure you and the person you intend to spend the rest of your life with are aligned in key areas in your relationship, your desires, and your faith.
Couples take the SYMBIS Premarital Assessment Test. The test is electronically sent to each person. Once completed it is returned to the Counseling Center.
We then schedule 6 counseling sessions to review the responses and discuss the test together.
The goal of our marital counseling is to help married couples deepen their love and understanding of each other, improve their communication, and re-establish their intimacy and commitment within their relationship.
Our desire is to help individuals deal with a wounded past and present feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that may affect your relationship.
Marriage is understanding how romance, recommitment, and respect function together to create a partnership that grows and honors God. Romance affects recommitment.
One of the most important things you and your partner can complete for your marriage may be the SYMBIS test. It includes:
Personalities - Better understand your personality and your partner's personality to see what you each bring to the marriage.
Love Life - Learn to cultivate a deeper passion and intimacy between eachother which lasts a lifetime.
Fighting Types - Uncover what topics are your "hot topics" and where fights might brew.
Talking Styles - Reveal your communication types to see how to develop meaningful, heartfelt connections.
Desires - Find out how your desires copmare and how to construct a soul-to-soul connection between you.
Finances - Get rid of financial woes pre-emptively and establish healthy habits and connections with money.
We can provide individual and couples sessions, assessments, and video resources.
$35 per couple. One-time payment.
Sessions generally last 45 minutes to an hour.
Sessions are held at the Living Word Church Pastoral Care Center.

We do not provide childcare for counseling.
Yes, there is always more to learn about your partner. We can provide tools to help have effective communication.
Each session is one hour and we require six sessions.
We can reschedule for another appointment.
